Welcome to the Town of Garner!  In May, 2005, Garner celebrated its 100 year Centennial. We also recently adopted a new slogan..."Garner, a Great Place to Be,"because it is a great town and a great place to be!

We invite you to visit us! Garner is located at the interchange of Interstate  40 and US Highway 70, approximately 8 miles south of Raleigh, the capital city of North Carolina. This community offers quick access to the Triangle's first class universities, The Research Triangle Park, Atlantic Coast Conference athletics, professional sporting events, and world renowned golfing events.  Along with quick access to everything the triangle area has to offer, Garner residents can be at the beach, on the eastern coast of the state in approximately 2-3 hours. They can also travel to the mountains, in the western part of the state of North Carolina, in approximately 4-5 hours.
