Fuquay-Varina is located in southern Wake County, about 18 miles south of Raleigh, the state capital and county seat. We are situated at the southeastern tip of the Triangle Area. Our latest population estimate is just under 10,000 citizens, and the current estimate including our urban service area is approximately 30,000. We draw visitors and shoppers from a nearby retail service area of over 60,000 people. The corporate limit of the Town is currently over 8 square miles, and continuing to increase as we receive requests for annexation and for town services.
The hyphenated name, Fuquay-Varina, reflects the dual heritage of two communities and the story of a couple's romance that led to their marriage and the communities coming together. Today high-tech industries and innovative businesses balance the town's economy, blending economic development and community preservation. Yet town fathers are not shy in letting it be known they want to maintain the"village character"associated with Fuquay-Varina. > Show Me Fuquay-Varina Listings Now > Visit the Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce > K-12 in Fuquay-Varina > Yahoo!
